Preben Bruggeman

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, EFFECTIVE LEADER

Preben was appointed CEO of Home Invest Belgium in 2024. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Preben was CFO of Home Invest Belgium for five years. Before that, he was CFO at the public REIT Qrf City Retail. Preben started his career at Degroof Petercam as an equity analyst, responsible for the real estate sector. He then joined Degroof Petercam's Corporate Finance department where he played an important role in numerous capital market transactions (issuance of shares, bonds and real estate certificates), setting up private equity funds and assisting companies in mergers and acquisitions in the real estate sector. Preben holds a master's degree in Business Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Antwerp. He has also successfully completed the three levels of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program. He is a guest lecturer at the KU Leuven Kulak.

Ingrid Quinet

Chief Legal Officer, effective leader

Ingrid Quinet has a Master’s Degree in Law (VUB) and has almost 20 years’ experience as a lawyer and legal expert, mainly in the real estate and banking sector. Previously, she worked as a lawyer at Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Nibelle Law and Laga. She worked at Eaglestone as Chief Legal Officer until December 2019.

Jan Opdecam

Head of Portfolio Management

Jan Opdecam has more than 15 years’ experience in the real estate sector, first as an Asset Manager at RC Vastgoed and then as a Commercial Director at Whitewood Capital Group. He worked for KBC Securities as Director Equity Research before joining Home Invest Belgium by the end of 2019. He oversees all operational activities for the buildings in portfolio.

Patrick Verstraete

Head of Development and Construction

Patrick Verstraete is a construction engineer by formation and completed the postgraduate degree in real estate engineering in 2003 at KULeuven. He has more than 30 years of experience in the Belgian real estate sector. After a first experience as an architect, he moved up to project director development for a general contractor. Afterwards, he gained experience in property management and in 2019 he took up the role of Chief Technical Officer at Leasinvest Real Estate. Before joining HIB, he was Head of project & property management at Nextensa.
